There is no reason to ever try to get the bar all the way to the end, so you can stop as soon as it hits the bar.
You can only fill up the bar once per visit so unfortunately that means you have to keep on going back.

The best way I found for getting those items is to get around 50 tickets ready, and then use them all in one go to get everything.

A good way to do it is to first grab an enemy, then throw the enemy at the wall usingand then start mashing.
