A mossy, rocky area of around 1.
The clear stream running through the area will surely make you forget about the heat of summer.
These are helpful for getting around and finding out what is going on during your stay!
It was suitable for my 3 friends and I spending one night in Okutama.
Tetsuya was swift in communication and gave us some good recommendation around the hood.
Recommended for short stays!
Big house quiet very clean and enough for 7 people with 2 large rooms.
He just gave us the key code and we let ourselves in.
House was a lil smaller than the photos suggest.
But you can't expect things to be big in Japan cuz everything is small out here.
The bunk beds were pretty cool tho.
Made u feel like a kid again.
It's a small old quiet japanese neighborhood.
Only a couple places to eat.
Good if youre trying to experience the country side of Japan.
The river and surrounding scenery is beautiful.
A lot more peaceful than Tokyo.
Worth it if you enjoy the outdoors like hiking and kayaking and stuff.
We went swimming in the river.
It was cold but refreshing.
I would stay there again if I ever go back to Mitake.
Easy to access with clear map.
Can enjoy the beautiful landscape of river with a few minutes walk.
This place is great for a weekend getaway in the mountains!
It's within ten minutes walking distance of a 7-11, the Mitake bus station, the metro, and the sake brewery.

The нажмите для продолжения is just across the street, which makes for a lovely morning walk.
The listing is just as the pictures describe - cozy, economical, and well-lit.
Like most Japanese places, it is a little small, but the five of us co-habited with no issues.
The bunk beds are sturdy, big, and the comforters retain a lot of heat in the cold.
The kitchen has a talkative hot plate, a coffee pot, and a small toaster oven but no hot water.
The reason that I'm docking one star is as follows: We stayed in the winter, and while it was not snowing when we got there, it did get cold.
Even with everything turned off, running the heater tripped the circuit a few times, and nights got very chilly.
My friend who stayed in the cot room was not happy that room got especially cold, since the space heater did not turn on at all.
Additionally, the lack of hot water in the kitchen meant we washed dishes in the shower, which was on the opposite side of the house from the bathroom.
Finally, while there was wifi, it cut out quickly.
I'm not as upset by this, as with five people and a small data plan, that was bound to happen.
If you're looking for a laid-back, comfortable, pseudo-outdoorsy place to stay in the mountain valley of Mitake, I think this is a terrific find!
Not only did he answer all our questions about where things were, such as grocery stores, etc.
The host was very kind and provide us a guide for our trip.
The area is beautiful and around the house many restaurant offer delicious food.
Highly recommended house for who want to do outdoor.
Would definately stay here again Kace August 2016 It's takes around 60min from city.

There are heaps of activities to do in the area to do and we were very lucky to have Ken take us to the tour at small cost.
He drove us to sake factory, local soy sauce factory and the mountain.
It was a really interesting afternoon.
Another highlight was also the walk to the onsen which had a very peaceful forest view.

We easily walked from the train station to the Riverside Cottage, as I'd done my research before arriving on SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN street view.
The weather was very nice even in November, and all the trees along the river had the fall colors, beautiful!
It was off-season and mid-week, so the lodge was mostly empty, quiet, and relaxing.
Ken-san was a very kind and welcoming host.
He told us all about the history of the area and the different sights we could walk to see.
He helpfully called a couple places for us to check they were open.
He also offered several tours and workshops for very reasonable fees.
The little cottage was in excellent condition, warm and cozy, with all advertised amenities.
The river is a gorgeous sight.
We walked and took a bus to the nearby onsen, although it was a bit hard to find our way alone, it was very cool!
Tip: if you are interested in going to the onsen nearby, you should remember that most onsens you must bring your own towels, washcloths, etc if you don't want to have to buy them there.
A beautiful setting by a river, our own little house with everything you need for comfort, and Ken who was a perfect host.
We were even lucky to try his homemade miso soup!
